Commodore Lithographic Publishers, Liverpool - September 2017

Visited with Porky Pig and Tbolt prior to demolition.

Very little history about the place, but it seems to have closed for business around 2007.

ABC Forum Cinema, Lime Street, Liverpool - March 2016

Sitting in a prominent position in Liverpool City Centre is the local landmark of the former Forum Cinema which has sat ever so slowly rotting since closure 29th January 1998.

This Grade II listed building opened its doors in 1931 as the ABC Forum with a showing of the film Almost a Honeymoon starring Clifford Mollison, finally closing as Cannon Forum in 1998 with a one off showing of the classic Humphrey Bogart film Casablanca. Having survived the the UK wide cinema closures of the 1980s caused by the march of home video, this cinema was forced to close due to the rise of the new multiplex cinemas.

Visited with Blacksnake, Tbolt, Lavino and a chap called Wherever I May Roam. (twice) this place is rather dark as you would expect, however it is dimly lit in parts with temporary lighting dotted here and there.

All photos have been done with Bulb setting F/4.5 and light painting.

Welsh Presbyterian Church, Liverpool - January 2016

Built in 1865, this derelict church has stood empty since the 1990s, known locally as Toxteth Cathedral or the Welsh Cathedral this totally derelict Grade II Listed church with its 200 ft steeple is an example of extreme dereliction.

Whilst entry into this church is straight forward, getting out uninjured would seem to be down to luck more than skill. Death on a stick is the phrase we use in northern England and in this instance, rightly so.

Visited with Blacksnake, Zer081 and the one whom even his wife knows only as Tbolt.

We climbed up the first 30ft of the spire, but thought better of going any further.

A foolhardy explore 7/10

Protestant Martyrs Church, Liverpool - January 2016

Founded in 1903, this church closed around 2004 and stands in terrible state of decay.

The local vandals had taken a pop at the place of late, so one of the local members of Team Weasel quickly secured the place for us to make a visit at our leisure, whilst keeping riffraff out.

Visited by Tbolt, Blacksnake, myself and the hobbit like one only known as Zer081.

Rather like this place 8/10 - we finally seem to be making inroads into Liverpool's hidden gems.

United Mersey Supply Company, Liverpool - January 2016

We have never had much luck in Liverpool, at all. Then Mr Blacksnake joined the ranks of Team Weasel and everything changed, Scousers are very passionate about their city and are full of, well, insight.

Back in December I sent a photo I had found to Mr Blacksnake and the chap instantly identified the exact spot and was round there in a flash to take a look.

Come January Tbolt, ZerO81 and my good self ignored the doom laden weather forecast and headed down the East Lancs Road for a bit of Mersey Warehouse Derp with our new found Liverpudlian cultural guide.

This rather very goosed,  rather wet, warehouse was rather a good mooch despite our first misgivings.
