Rock Nook Mill - June 2014

A short drive up to the Pennine Moors, meeting up with my good friends The Judderman and the one  only known as ZerO81.

This empty mill sits on the side of the Leeds Liverpool Canal, rather a nice spot with the barges going up and down in the locks - don't let this lovely spot fool you, the local youths are feral wee beasties who like nothing better than scuttling through the ventilation ducts.

What we have here is nothing special, which is kind of what makes it a little cool....

A deceptively dangerous looking entrance masks a 5 floor mill, thrashed in parts with no sodden "you may die" floors, plenty of peeling paint and enough little bits to waste a few hours in relative safety compared to most death trap Lancashire satanic mills.

Camelot - The End, from the air - June 2014

After popping round to see the fall of Camelot back in June 2013, we decided to take a nosey from the air a year on.

All the rides are now gone, bar the roller coaster Knightmare, the haunted house gone and in fact not much of the place is left.

Damn shame, I loved this place when open and closed.

Whittingham Asylum - The End, from the air - June 2014

The end is nigh....

An overdue flight out and first base was, well that's the next post, but we moved swiftly over Preston to the monster asylum that is Whittingham Asylum - or was.

Once upon a time we jumped over the fence, then another time we took a potter round in the plane.

Anyway, if anyone doesn't know the bulldozers are in. The end of Whittingham Asylum is weeks away.

We flew back.
