Eldon Grove, Liverpool - July 2014

Urban Spaceman's call this one, with a txt earlier in the week.

Eldon Grove tenements, Liverpool - built in 1912 and totally fucked by 2014, Grade II listed, full of discarded needles and man poo.

Voices, we could hear voices, the mumblings, just below the level of being able to decipher the ramblings. Homeless ? druggies ? We just avoided that area of the block.







Darkened stairwells beckoned us in...



 





Up top the place is stripped out, burnt out and in places just waiting to collapse in on its self, but still Eldon Grove still holds its charms.

 



 

7/10 - nice derp.

Liverpool, we will be back and on a regular basis....

Sherdley Remec, St Helens - July 2014

We visited a place of zombies and finding it zombie free it was sadly found to be gathering paintballers at a rapid pace. We made our excuses and left.

Scratching our heads we decided to make the short drive on to St. Helens, one party member down at this point I should add. It turns out you either love St. Helens or don't and our honorable chap voted with his feet, despite my protesting that you can't really write off a whole town.

Apparently you can....

Well Sherdley Remec, what can you say about this place other than it was derp in 2011 and it hasn't improved with age and is a real blight on the landscape.

With cars parking up and gentlemen wandering onto site every so often its either a gay cruising area or drug drop off area, something was a miss.

 

 

 







 


Overly Ripe 3/10 -  with no drugs found or sexual favours offered nor accepted.

Lost Lido - July 2014

Not much to say really on this one, a solo visit to a woodland area in Derbyshire that I'd wanted to visit for ages.

In the 1960s you could catch a bus from Manchester to bath at this now forgotten and long decaying gem - other than that the history is a little sketchy.



These days it's a rather peaceful spot with a few carp swimming round and thousands of mini frogs (or possibly toads?) creeping though the dead leaves and moss.



 






8/10 - not much to it, but extra points for the much needed peace and tranquility after a shite week in the office.

Time for some major derp !!!
