Rossendale Hospital - August 2011

Urban Spaceman & I visited on a damp August morning. The day had not started well with an aborted Blackburn Royal explore.



But hey Rossendale was just round the corner.
 
 
 

 
 
This was at the first entrance to the hospital and this looked far tooooo easy, so we drove round the corner parked up at the other entrance, slipped round the gate (just as easy) and we saw a fluffy bunny.

Walking around we saw major signs of previous entry by the usual rapscallions thieving metal, they have even had ago on the roof of the main building by tying a rope to the "pointy metal bits" - resulting in the bent "pointy metal bit" bit below.

It was at this point the dogs rounded us up and we were politely requested to kindly leave.

Whittingham Asylum (birds eye view)

Back in January 2011 I shot off to Whittingham and stomped across a muddy field only to be spotted by a guard as I stood by a low fence.





I shot off into the trees for a while and doubled back, only for the guard to also return



This went on for about half an hour in some kind of boring stand off and I gave up, I was going home. Then this little chap shot by over head, which gave me an idea......
