Element Labs - Sheffield, April 2018

Visited with Tbolt and Snapt on one of our many trips to Sheffield.

Sadly it would seem that Sheffield's long held official title of City of Derp is rapidly coming to an end and finds of any quality are ever increasingly thin upon the ground.

Sadly this one was a tad meh.

Dear Ofo, do you offer rewards for the return of your pedal cycles ? I keep finding them dumped everywhere I go in Sheffield. Please understand I'm not holding them hostage, but clearly you must be missing a hell of a lot of them missing ???

Eon Works, Sheffield - April 2017

In a case of grab what can photography that currently grips Sheffield during the city wide sanitization of buildings Tbolt and myself wandered into this little derp of a factory on the way to meet Snapt.

A small, rather quick and easy explore - 6/10

Footprint Tools, Sheffield - January 2017

Sheffield, now slowly being cleansed of its industrial past, is still worth a visit and so we did. Tbolt, Snapt and myself.

Footprint Tools, in the course on demolition we visited at some stupid time early one Sunday morning. I can tell you this in the safe knowledge that the building is now nothing more that a pile of bricks.

A rather enjoyable potter, despite the strange lack of quality artwork one has come to expect in Sheffield.

6/10 from me, an unexpected find by Tbolt and Snapt

Dyson Ceramics, Stannington - July 2016

Having previous popped my nose in at this place a few years ago and failed to make any inroads at photographing this abandoned and derelict factory it was most welcome visit with Tbolt.

Dyson Ceramics closed this factory back in 2005, some areas are demolished but is does still have some little bits to see with a smattering of Sheffield graffiti.

The factory in its countryside setting sits rotting in development hell, developers want to build 88 house, but given the green belt location on the edge of the Peak District, this is proving a little controversial.

A tidy office is a happy office

I'm going to give this place a jolly 6/10 as we continue on our quest for that illusive epic.

George Barnsley's, Cornish Works, Sheffield - Feb 2016

George Barnsley and Sons Ltd was founded in 1836 and specialised in the manufacture of files and cutting tools for use in the leather and shoe making industry. Despite the factory being a Grade II Listed building, the factory has been left to slowly rot since its closure in 2003.

Visited with Tbolt, a big thanks must be given to other fellow explorer peeps - you know who you are and yes very funny lads, very funny.

So moving on please take a seat...

An excellent explore and my pictures sadly do not do this place justice, sadly the floors are starting to go in a downwards direction in parts of the building but otherwise a pretty relaxed mooch.

Tbolt recons that it may be his best explore so far and I can understand why its an old favorite and I give it an 8/10. A place I'm sure you could revisit and revisit just to get 'that' shot.
