Prince by Akse P19, Manchester - May 2016

Late May 2016 and the Manchester Cities of Hope Festival was in full swing, Akse P19 being pretty much the street artist in resident in Manchester's Northern Quarter did his own thing.

Following on from the fantastic David Bowie artwork we stumbled upon Akse P19 hard at work on his tribute to Prince.

Here was the work in progress, please visit to see the finished art on the corner of Tib Street and Thomas Street.

Sheffield Street Art - September 2014

So, I'm in Sheffield, time for a mooch so I parked up down near the old abandoned Stanley Tools factory which was sadly closed up again.

Driving round to park up, this little beast just jumped out at me, as it would ! The Black-eyed Girl ?

And then on with some more wonderful spooky shit, thankfully I found these on the street and not some darkly lit warehouse, the girl would definitely make you jump.

Bit of a mad dash, an hour to spare before I fled the country I wandered up to a strangely very quiet Northern Quarter, even for a Sunday the streets where empty, apart from some scaffolders busily doing what scaffolders do.

Liverpool Graffiti Hunting - September 2012

It said in the magazine "Boarding a plane to an unbeknown country makes your mind wonder about all the photographic opportunities your going to encounter. The beautiful architecture, the....."

So I caught a train to Liverpool for a bit of graffiti hunting !

Given that Bolton is only 37 miles from Liverpool, I've only ever been to Liverpool twice in my life and after catching a ferry across the Mersey I'd never been back, until now.

Not sure where I'd spotted this, but I read that Cains Brewery in Toxteth would be a good starting point for the hunt for Scouse artwork and I wasn't disappointed.

With five hours of walking, looking in nooks and crannies these are just a small sample of the photos taken that day, I will return as I'm sure more treasures are awaiting me including the Banksy which had been covered in scaffolding and plastic.
