Another artist found around Manchester is Invader, this French artist has installed mosaics across the city in his attempt to populate the world with his marauding Space Invaders and other classic video arcade beasties.

Stevenson Square, Manchester

Welcome to Stevenson Square, part of the Northern Quarter, Manchester

Storm Trooper Mickey Mouse

I love Manchester, although for me it did loose some of its charm when the IRA bombed the city and many areas had to be redeveloped ( Corn Exchange for one).

So plenty to see and mooch in Manchester, I always head down the back streets into the Northern Quarter first and onto Stevenson Square.

The art here changes on a regular basis and so it's always my starting point for any mooch, its should be noted most back streets off and around the square have something to see, the whole area is full of hidden gems and including work from international artists such as Invader.

Many of the shops have joined in on their shop frontage

The centre of the road is the main stage for the art, so here is a snap shot on some of the art, taken over a 18 month period.
