Coalite, Bolsover, Derbyshire - April 2017

Visited with Tbolt and Snapt, bumping into Judderman as he appeared from the marsh grass like some kind of big game hunter.

This place used to be a vast sprawling production centre for the smokeless fuel Coalite, a byproduct from the fuel known as Carbon Black was also processed for use as a pigment in the manufacture of vehicle tyres.

Opening in 1937, the 140 acre site finally closed in 2004, and has been sitting in development hell ever since.

There is talk of houses being built after a clean up of the land contamination, which is needed as the place stinks to hi heaven with a kind of weedkiller type smell.

Rather liked this place, seems to be the new place for good graffiti including a good few by Coloquix.

Coloquix

Whilst I'm sure this place will not be everyone's cup of tea, I loved the place and giving it 8/10, a revisit on the cards at some point to see the evolving canvas.

Eon Works, Sheffield - April 2017

In a case of grab what can photography that currently grips Sheffield during the city wide sanitization of buildings Tbolt and myself wandered into this little derp of a factory on the way to meet Snapt.

Leake Street Tunnel, London - March 2017

We visited this place on a 15 hour wander thru the streets of  London, meeting on Westminster Bridge at 8.30pm one Saturday evening we set off into the night.

We did rather liked this place, a graffiti free for all under Waterloo Station, London.

The graffiti changes by the day, constantly being refreshed day and night and a visit is highly recommended.

Charlestown Works, Glossop - February 2017

It was snowing, the Snake Pass was impassable. Tbolt turned the car around and we headed back home. At lower levels we had no snow, it was simply bitterly cold.

So we parked up at this derp spot, we didn't bother with the cameras, it was a mobile phone job.

Charlestown Works opened in 1792 and closed 2006, sits in development hell with the local arsonists and vandals slowly bringing the site to its knees.

Arvin Exhausts, Redisher Works, Holcombe - March 2017

Originally a bleach works for the then local cotton industry, in later life an exhaust factory.

The building sits in development hell, awaiting demolition for the possible building of proposed apartments.

Visited with Tbolt and Pork Pig, routine walk in followed by a rather large expanse of mud and water on the ground floor as the culvert at the back of the factory floods the place. Strangely the lower level is a lot dryer and thankfully not ankle deep in mud.
