Permanite Asphalt, Matlock - May 2017

Visited with Tbolt and Snapt, whilst Mrs Tbolt went shopping and got the grub and pop in.

Tucked away on the edge of the town, this industrial gem sits in development hell and is a rather photogenic derp of a gem. Sadly a quick visit and my photos don't give the place justice.

Tbolt was rather disappointed, but I love places like this.

For me, a little gem of a place, 6/10

Shouts to Mrs Tbolt for an excellent choice of grub.

Kelvin Fenton Mill, Burnley - December 2015

Visited with Blacksnake, Tbolt and ZerO81,  this is a mill that is half demolished and is about 12 months from becoming death on a stick.

Kelvin Fenton operated from these premises specializing in packaging, a distinct lack of information on this place exists (or that I can be bothered looking for with any extreme effort).

The entrance kind of suited my kind Hobbit like friends and this derp of building followed our early morning theme of mud, it was one of them kind of days and Tbolt's Vengabus was becoming ever increasingly soiled.

If you manage to brave it to the top floor a good view of Burnley can be seen, including Burnley Empire Theatre.

But to be honest was it worth the effort and possible breakage of limbs/death ? No.

Murphys Machinery, Menston - November 2015

Visited on a rather wet and windy November day by myself, Tbolt, Judderman and the hobbit like one only known as ZerO81.

I've seen rather a lot of jolly good photos over the years from this place, sadly you will be very disappointed by mine.

Visited just in the nick of time by the looks of the floors on the way in, saying that the place has been closed since 2002 and has stood empty unused except for the occasional visit by photographers.

The place has seen better days and sadly lots of its charm has sadly been stolen of late.

Overall a bit crap, but thankfully the chippy down the road made up it, fish and chips all round was the order of the day and most excellent indeed.

Huncoat Power Station - August 2015

An overdue return to the guilty pleasure that is Huncoat Power Station.

Visited with with Tbolt and two non exploring photography students, I wasn't going to post these pics, but why the hell not.

Let us have a sniff around

I think we need to round up a team for some wool spinning again, we walked from our last session at Huncoat with cracking shots, but that was two years ago.....

Milford Mill, Derbyhire - July 2015

The final meeting of Team Weasel needed something of quality and for this we ventured to Derbyshire for some classic mill porn in a disused dyeing and bleach works.

A mill so good, they named the village after it.

Anyway myself, ZerO81 and the one referred to in Scotland as The Judderman The Clarty Wee Beastie decided to have a poke round this lovely place and finally test out my first aid kit with a bit of "man down, man down !" before the demolition squad move in this coming September.

First things first, we presumed the respirator was optional and so wandered in with our eyes open for prowling gas mask goons and HDR monkeys - thankfully none to be found, although a local gentleman whom loitered began ponder why three grown men of mature years would wish to potter in such a place.

Six areas are available for explorers - these range from ooh nice, boringly empty, yum, excellent, tank porn heaven and ending with boring pigeon poo derpington - so lets have a butchers on what Judderman is calling his favorite explore of the year, thus far (he skipped the boring pigeon poo derpington bit to be honest).

So on with the mooch.....

All in all a rather wonderful explore, so I'm giving the place a 9/10, a gem of a place which will be lost forever come September.

All photos of scantily clad women are as found on the premises and represent the changing views of acceptable working practices within the UK workplace and should be viewed as such, now being historical documents and not viewed as "lovely plumage squire!".
