Hartshead Power Station, Heyrod

Visited by myself and the Urban Spaceman one autumn sunday lunchtime, possibly the wettest sunday of the year.

It says here that the station opened in 1926 and closed in October 1979, but by the time we stumbled in the place, it was well and truely goosed.

Pretty much all that remains is two buildings









The place is next to a substation which is currently buzzing away







 







Not a great deal left to be honest, two little buildings, however it goes still contain a gem or two






This reminds of 1970s Doctor Who (Pertwee not Baker)
