November 2011
Both myself and my fellow round headed explorer Urban Spaceman have now
had our "groundings" lifted so it was off to Yorkshire, Urban Spaceman
wanted to see the wonder that is Elland Brickworks but as we now know
the demo mob had moved in (or so we thought....) and so we shot off to Shipley Glen which was a
bit of yawn to be honest with lots of old guys smoking pipes hanging
around.
So with the wonders of my potato headed friends sat nav we found
ourselves in sunny Bradford and whilst admiring this wonderful building
from the road bumped into another photographer with a camera "don't you
wish you could go in ?" said the little man with the camera - our reply
"we are, are you coming ? " and he was gone.
Loved this place, some nice art, plenty of pigeon poo and bubble wrap on
the windows - overlooking the various retail parks with the screams of
police cars going past.
History, done to death - lets just hope there is something left of the place by the time the builders move in.
More pics on my Flickr - don't want to overdo it on here.
