Aerial tilt-shift photography - part 5

Part of my ongoing series of aerial tilt-shift photos, which do no seem to be a little popular.

First off, we have a picture full of everything that is wrong,  a nuclear reactor, HDR and tilt-shift.

A bit of a redemption perhaps from the treehuggers?

Next off a bit of a nautical theme, will floaty boaty things

Aerial tilt-shift photography - part 4

Following on from my previous aerial tilt-shifts here we are back on with another set of tilt-shift photos from the plane, all pictures taken by myself on my travels with the legend that is Captain Pugwash.

All the pictures are once again taken within the United Kingdom, so on with the show..

Humber Bridge by air

Just caught the repeat of Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones, missed this the first time round but Mr P's flagged this one up due to the wonderful sight of Mr Griff Rhys Jones going draining - whatever floats your boat I say.

This episode tracked waterways from Liverpool over to the Humber Estuary, which reminded me of a few pics I got last year flying over the Humber Bridge, sadly not in the best of weather.

I must say that for me the Humber Bridge is one of the most impressive views I've seen from the plane and I'd jump at the chance to fly back for another go with the camera in better weather.

Aerial tilt-shift photography - Part 2

Hi folks, more of the same - these seem to be popular and so lets indulge.

The last lot featured in B3ta's newsletter, so someone must like them....

>> Tilt-shift photography (from a plane) <<
Urbex enthusiast Fragglehunter likes to take
pictures of unusual buildings while flying over
them in a light aircraft. Here's some
tilt-shift stuff. We like to think al-Qaeda's
scouting reports are just as charmingly
composed, although theirs are marred by an
  over-enthusiasm for Instamatic filters.

First off over to Preston, for the Tickled Trout (font change????)

Aerial tilt-shift photography

A week of illness has pretty much wrecked an overly busy schedule but anyway moving on and today is Grand National Day at Aintree Race Course, Liverpool - so here is a pic taken from over head (which has totally nothing to do with this posting).

Aintree Race Course, from the air

Right, here we go with small selection of tilt-shift pictures taken from the plane around the Manchester and Bolton area, hope you enjoy.

First off Barton Bridge, Manchester with the sewage farm in all its glory

Stuff I've spotted from the plane - Part 1

Back to aerial photography, not had some aerial pictures on the blog of late - I'm currently sat this Easter weekend with my fingers crossed for the Easter Monday weather to be good so I can go for a flight  (not a chance !).

The good thing about a blog is sometimes you can post a group of pictures that perhaps might never see the light of day, putting them on my blog as a small collection people get to see what I see, photographs of the unseen parts of Britain.

The new fashion of intergrating GPS into cameras would be of major use to me,  as given the speed of flight and the number of photos I take, many of the following I can't identify the locations, I don't have a clue.

One or two have been given a "tilt-shift" finish, so here we go, I will try and give a county or town where I can.

First off is a listen post type place hidden by trees, I took this one on the way to Raf Duxford, its located in the Lincolnshire area.
Top secret listening post ?

Cambridgeshire ???

This next one I do know, Scout Moor, Edenfield, Lancashire

Scout Moor, Edenfield

Ramsbottom, Helmshore ? Its that kind of area.

Rivington Pike, Lancashire.

The Mormon Temple, Chorley, Lancashire.

Preston England Temple from the air

Had to post this, as its a local landmark, the disused Darcy Lever viaduct in Bolton, people drive under it, Urbexers climb it, but I've never seen a picture of the old girl from the air.

Yorkshire, a little set from an industrial site we flew over on a trip to Northumberland.

Another quarry, it has a pool of water with worryingly strange colour.

But is it toxic ?

 Toxic ?

Final pic, I just don't have a clue, at a wild, wild guess South Yorkshire.

More to follow, but you might want to have a gander at a few location specific posts of mine such as
